Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Fakunle Emmanuel Week 5, Day 2,   Monday, 31th January 2022. TOPIC: MIND YOUR BUSINESS 2: Be Grateful  Memory Verse: 1 These. 4:11 11. That you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you. Bible Reading: Math. 25:18 "18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money." Ingratitude changes ones focus. It kills the attitude to work. Minding ones business involves gratitude to who entrusted you with a gift, responsibility or a talent. The master gave everyone talent(s) according to their ability, mind you, your ability can be measured by your attitude. When you lack a good attitude your performance will be limited which in turn affects your productivity. Minding ones business, makes you the focus and not the giver. He felt he was being wicked to the Master not knowing, he was minding someone else's business leaving his own duty....

That you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you. Bible Reading: Math. 25:18 "18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money." Minding one's business has been a secret to success  which is hiding to many believers. Focusing on what you have been assigned and called to do is a secret to fulfilling God's assignment. Those who focuses on other's business looses their responsibility. The man who received one talent from his master was a man who couldn't mind his business. He,  comparing his talent with what others were given was a distraction. He felt discouraged, dug the ground and buried it. He would have mind his business to, at list, gain one more talent,...

(Part 2) 6: Your Reward Is On The Way Memory Verse: Prov. 14:12 "12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But it's end is the way of death." Bible Reading: Luke 15:31-32 "31 “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.  32 It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’ ” Yesterday, we saw how committed servant felt when an uncommitted fellow (the Prodigal Son) was welcomed with the fatted calf. He made his anger known. He felt he wasn't appreciated with all his commitment since the prodigal son left with his Inheritance. Many believed he refuse to ask his father what he deserve and that was why he was complaining, but I want to draw our attention to what the father said,  "31 “And he said to him, ‘S...

(Part 2) 5: Not Partiality Memory Verse: Prov. 14:12 "12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But it's end is the way of death." Bible Reading: Luke 15:25-27 "25 “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard  music and dancing.  26 So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’ This lesson today is one of the most important lesson to note. Most often, this has been the occurrences in churches and even in our homes. The father welcomed the prodigal son with warmth embrace, killed the fastest calf for him, which was meant to be part of the inheritance of the elder brother. He came in and was angry and refuses to join the ce...

(Part 2) 4: Heaven Rejoices Memory Verse: Prov. 14:12 "12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But it's end is the way of death." Bible Reading: Luke 15:22-24. "22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24 for this my son was  dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry." There is Joy over every repentant soul who returned to God genuinely regardless of his/her past ways of life. Luke 15:7, says, "7 I say to you that  likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance." The best way to create joy in heaven is by saving a sou...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Fakunle Emmanuel Week 4, Day 3,   Tuesday, 25th January 2022. TOPIC: LESSONS FROM THE PRODIGAL SON. (Part 2) 3: Humble Yourself Before God Memory Verse: Prov. 14:12 "12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But it's end is the way of death." Bible Reading: Luke 15:21 21 And the son said to  him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ Genuine repentance comes with soberness. Ability to see your wrong, accept it and apologize is the prove of repentance. 2 Chronic. 7:14, says, "14 if My people who are called by My  name will humble themselves, ..." Being people of God doesn't neglect pride. We might be called the "people of God" and still live arrogantly to God and men. The prodigal son became a humble child to his father, he apologized for his past mistakes, and wasn't seeking for a place as a son but as a slave in the empire of His...

Memory Verse: Prov. 14:12 "12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But it's end is the way of death." Bible Reading: Luke 15:20 "20 “... But when he was still a great way off, his father saw  him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him." When God lay it in your heart to take a step, He already had an arrangement for you before your arriver. God wouldn't lead you to shame, for He said, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jere. 29:11. God had prepared the heart of the father for the arrival of His son. The fact is, The heart of the father had never forsaken the prodigal son despite His attitude. Memory Verse: Prov. 14:12 "12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But it's end is the way of death." Bible Reading: Luke 15:20 "20 “And he arose and came to his father. ..." The prodigal son came to his senses, realising His wrong steps. He thought of what to do and how to go about, then took the first right step of his life, "And he arose and came to his father". There are many ideas, good step and visions in the heart of men, waiting for the right step to be taken. Life is not about discovering oneself but taking action in that direction. The Lord has laid in many hearts to do some things but the acting spirit is lacking. Many would have been made known to their generations but lack of taking action has stagnated them. God can't run your vision for you. He can only reveal...

(Part 1) Memory Verse: Prov. 14:12 "12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But it's end is the way of death." Day 1 WRONG REQUEST Text: Luke 15:12 Like the younger son, many Christians have been asking God for wants instead of needs. Life is in stages and we are all in sizes, be patience in your request. Seek for God's will for your life not your own will alone. Make the right request from God and men. http://mymobiledailydevotional.blogspot.com/2022/01/mobile-daily-devotional-with-pst_51.html Day 2 WRONG DECISION Text: Luke 15:13 Many Christians are acting like the prodigal son. "12 There is a way  that seems right to a man, But it's end is the way of death." Bible Reading: Luke 15:17-19 "17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread  enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” What a good day for the prodigal son. A day that would have come earlier when he was wealthy and young. According to a Yoruba saying, "Without suffering you can't be wise". Until you go through some hard time in life, you might not realise the real you. After lavishing all his wealth, he came back to his senses. He r...

"12 There is a way  that seems right to a man, But it's end is the way of death." Bible Reading: Luke 15:14 "15 Then he went and joined himself to a  citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the  swine ate, and no one gave him anything." The prodigal son squandered his wealth. He lavished his inheritance in a far country without a mentor and experience, and he suffered for it. He inflicted himself with suffering. He became a slave in a far country where he was once honoured. I pray for someone today, may you not be the cause of your affliction in Jesus Mighty name, Amen. "12 There is a way  that seems right to a man, But it's end is the way of death." Bible Reading: Luke 15:14 "14 But when he had spent all, there arose  a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want." When the prodigal son had abundance he forgot about famine. When he left his father's empire, he thought the wealth will remain for life. He felt he will be richer than his father in the next few years. He never learnt the strategy to make and sustain wealth until he learnt it in a hard way, I pray with someone today, may you not learn in a hard way in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. I want everyone to know this, since there is day and night, there's raining season and dry season, there is mountain and there is valley, there will also be season of...

"12 There is a way  that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death." Bible Reading: Luke 15:13 "13 ... and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living." There is an adage in Yoruba tongue that, "What you don't labour for doesn't last longer in your hands." Meaning, you tend to waste what you don't labour for. Every income that are not genuinely acquired always fly away in the hand of a prodigal son. That is why, you always loose what you don't value or worked for. That was the case of this younger spoilt child. The scripture says, "and there he wasted his possessions with prodigal living." May i ask you, how are you living your life, "let's finish it today another will come tomorrow" is that you? The wealth is ...

Yesterday, our discussion was centered on "Wrong Request" made by the younger son of a wealthy man. Today, we will focus on the "Wrong Decision" the prodigal son made. The wealthy man granted his son according to his request. He divided His wealth into two and gave him his portion. He spent some days after receiving his inheritance and left his source; his mentor and boss, he departed from his biological father, and went to a place very far from where he can be monitored, Wrong  Decision. "11 Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.' So he divided to them his livelihood." Good Day and welcome to this week devotional. We will be digging out some lessons from the story of the prodigal son. First lesson today is "WRONG REQUEST". Inheritance is what belong to a child after his/her parents death. God promised Abraham the land of Canaan but keep telling him, it's an inheritance of his  children's children after him. He showed Him the land, He walked through it but never had it while alive.  After Four Hundred and thirty years, it was ha...

The Word of God is for  our benefits and also for the benefit of those who are yet to accept Christ as their Lord and saviour. It's been made known to us how we can benefit from God's Word. Bible Reading: James 1:23-25. 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers  only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;  24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does." Bible Reading: Romans 10:17 "17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of  God." One of the greatest benefit of the word of God is "Increasing Faith". The word of God nourishes our faith, it helps our faith to grow faster than we expect. Reading, studying and meditating on God's word will increase our faith but when we hear the Word of God through Servants of God, who are called to teach and unfold the word of God, our faith increases exceedingly.  Apostle Paul understands this well, that was why He said,  "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of  God." Bible Reading: 2 Corinth. 4:13 "13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and  therefore I spoke,” we also believe and  therefore speak." No matter how we read and study the Word of God, no matter how we meditate on it day and night, if we do not believe in what we read and meditate on, we can't benefit from the Word. Believing the Word of God takes you to another level in the race of Christianity and this is why many  believers remain just church goer. Until our meditation take us to the level of believing the word, the benefit will be limited. Mark 9:23, says,  "Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all thing...

Meditation simply means to ponder about something, to think deeply, focus to get a point from what you are studying or reading. Meditation is the brain behind successful studying. God's word is the creative ability of God. God's fullness lives in His Word, so where the Word of God is there is power. But the word of God still need our action. God spoke the light to be but He still have to apply action by separating the darkness from the light, so no matter the word you speak, you need an action to back it up. In Genesis chapter 1, verses 1-31, God kept saying new things to being. Every end of a spoken word was the beginning of another spoken word. The word "God said" appeared nine (9) times in chapter one alone. Every "God said" has an end that led to another "God Said" until creation was fully completed. God kept speaking into being new things, in new facet of life and there wasn't any complain by the creation that "It's enough" until God called it an end. This year, you need to accomplish much...

He made the Heavens and the Earth with His Word and was consistent with it. From the first day of creation, God kept speaking the word and acted along. When His word doesn't give a perfect shape of what He wanted He put His hands to work for a perfect touch.  At every point of creation ( through spoken word) he appreciates the result daily. He was patience to see what He declared coming to pass. Despite the evening and the morning, He wasn't distracted from...

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Fakunle Emmanuel Week 1, Day 4,  Wednesday, 5th January 2022.  TOPIC: THE WORD 4: Need Patience. Memory Verse: Gen. 1:3 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.  Bible Reading: Hab. 2:2-3. "2 Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision  And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;  But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. The Word of God will always come to pass, it may be delayed, it may looks forgotten but what God says will surely come to pass. If one will get the best of God's word, patience is the Key. God's Word in creation even took hours before they were accomplished. So therefore, anyone that will enjoy the fulfillment of God's word will need to be patience for it to come to pass. Likewise, what you've penned down for year 2022 wi...

Fakunle Emmanuel Week 52, Day 3,  Tuesday, 4th January 2022.  TOPIC: THE WORD 3: Bless The Product Of Your Word Memory Verse: Gen. 1:3 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.  Bible Reading: Gen. 1:28. "28 Then God blessed  them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill  the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of  the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living  thing that moves on the earth.”  God so much appreciate His Word more than His name, Ps. 138:2, says, "2 ... For You have magnified Your word above all Your name." God backs every of His words and bring them to pass. He said, none of His word will go unfulfilled. When God's word come to pass, God always bless and appreciate His words. ...

Memory Verse: Gen. 1:3 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.  Bible Reading: Gen. 1:26. "26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” The Word of God is powerful and active, sharper than any two edged sword (Heb. 4:12) but it can't accomplish itself without other vessels. God, the Almighty Himself needed other vessels to bring His Word to fulfillment. First of all, God needed His Spirit to be around in order to achieve His intentions in creation. The Spirit of God hovering over the darkness gives an insight on what to do. Our Bible verse today, talked about God involving the angels in verse 26, "Th...
