Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel  Week 31, Day 2:   Monday, 31st July 2023.  TOPIC : Psalms 23: Rightly Placement 2 MEMORY VERSE:  John 10:11. "11. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." BIBLE READING:  Psalms 23:2. "2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters." We've established who a shepherd is and how it's important to our lives. King David continued the role and duty of a Shepherd. He said, "He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:" What is green pasture? This is a freshly green grass for flock which serves as food, what they consume in order to enjoy healthiness. In other words, the duty of the shepherd is to make available food in surplus for the sheep he's leading. When you have Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, and submit to His leadership, He will care for all your needs. Let me quickly say this, the sheep doesn't know wher...

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." BIBLE READING:  Psalms 23:1. "1. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Our focus this week is Psalms 23. The Lord will be unfolding the mystery behind this chapter of the bible to us, written by King David, a man after God's heart. "The Lord is My Shepherd."   David didn't start life as a King, he started as a shepherd boy, in order words, he was explaining his experience as a shepherd before becoming a King. A shepherd is a leader of sheep, flock. He goes ahead of them, He knows the way better than the sheep. He loves and cares for the sheep he's leading. From this perspectives, this is what a man will do for an animal, how much more will God do for human? "I shall not want" The implication ...

Finally this week, You and I, reading this devotional, are tools in God's hand. God have a purpose to fulfil with you and I. We are not a waste because things aren't working as planned. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof." And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: We've established the fact that, famine doesn't signifies being forsaken by God. It's natural for famine to come upon a nation and individuals which we will deal with during this topic. But when Famine arises, we said we need the voice of God to know what to do. By Yielding our mind to God it places us under the control of the Holy Spirit, it makes our mind reason in the way of the Lord but this will not mean our bodies are delivered from the world. When our mind is yielded to God our body also need to yield to God. That was why Jesus said in Matthew 26:41, "41. Yielding to either God or devil has it's origin in the mind. The mind is the foundation of every occurrences we see happening around us today. What goes on in the mind determines what happens in the physical. Who and what you yield your heart to determines who and what controls it. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:" BIBLE READING: Genesis 22:1-3. "1. And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.  2. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. 3. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. The hardest risk to take is the risk that comes as an instruction from God and through His servants...

The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:" BIBLE READING: Ruth 1:16-18. "16. And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: 17. Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. 18. When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her." One of the stories of the Bible that is filled with lessons whenever I read through it, Is the story of Ruth. Who was she? A young widow without a child also no brother in-law, and still determine to remain with her Mother in-law...

The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:" BIBLE READING: 2 Chronicles 20:20-21. "20. And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. 21. And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever. What do we do when things aren't working our ways? What do we say when we've tried all our best but still end in futility? How do we go ab...

The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:" BIBLE READING: Luke 10:33-35. "33. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,  34. And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. That was the case of the good Samaritan in the parable of Jesus Christ.  A man was robbed, left wounded according to Jesus' parable. He was left to die on the road and needed an urgent help from someone. Jesus said a ...
