TOPIC: KNOWING JESUS: Knowing When to Hide (20)

"53. Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death. 54. Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples."
Thinking Point:
Knowing when to be in the public and when to hide is called wisdom.
We bless the name of the Lord for another weekend. We thank God it's Friday again, we shall enjoy the labour of our hands this weekend in Jesus name, Amen
According to the book of Ecclesiastical 3:1, which says,
"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:"
There is time for everything and everyone under heaven. I'm glad to let you know that, there's also time to hide and a time to be in the public. As we all know that the process of making a product is always in secret but the acceptability of the product is when it's made public. Check every factor around you, they are always sealed away from the public. There's nothing going on in there other than the manufacturing of a product you know so well but they want to hide the production away from you. There's what we call "Abstraction" in programming, it's a way of hiding complex and internal details of a system but revealing the simplicity aspect of the system. Likewise, the growth of a man should be hidden from the public while the physical can be seen. In other words, there's time to hide from the public and time to be seen by the public, this is wisdom. Remember during the pregnancy of Jesus, Joseph was Instructed more than thrice to change the location of Mary despite carrying Jesus in her womb, brethren, learn to know when to hide from the public not every time is show time.
When Jesus heard that He was being sought for, the scripture said, "Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews;" He walked and worked in secret to the extent of changing His location. Not every time you need to show that you are a macho man, the invincible, no, there's time to hide from the predicament going on around you. Did we notice that it took God to hide Elijah in order to feed him by the brook and a raven? Yes, he sent him to the wilderness. God can as well provide for him in the city but just imagine Elijah eating in the means of hunger, can you predict what the Israelites will do to him? Your guess is as mine, smile. There are times God wants us to hide from what is happening around us, in our nation, even from those we need to reach out to about Christ. It is wisdom to see challenges coming and as a man of God you find cover according to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Should Jesus be afraid to hide from the Jews? No, but He did. Was it a sin? No. What would have happened if He was still in public? He would have been killed before the Passover time, His stipulated time to pay the highest price for our sins. Brethren it is wisdom to know what to hide and when to be in the public but this can be identified by the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is my prayer today that we will listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit in order to know when to be in the public and when to be hiding in Jesus name, Amen.
