TOPIC: PREPARING FOR 2026: Go After Those Loses (3)

"8. And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all."
Thinking Point:
Until you pursue your dreams you may never find a helper to help you.
I welcome you to the last Sunday of the year 2025. Faithful God has made it possible for everyone of us to be alive today. I pray for everyone, you will see the last day of this year and we will encounter the year 2026 together in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
In the last week of this year we have focused on "Preparing For 2026" and we have been speaking on what we need to put in place for a better year 2026. Yesterday, we discussed what went wrong in 2025 that we could not achieve our dreams, but today, our focus is pursuing that dream we couldn't achieve in the year 2025. Many dreams are waiting for someone to run with them. Laziness is the reason many of us couldn't achieve much in the year 2025, not village people or lack of helpers but we are not doing the needful. The scripture says,
"13. The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets." Proverbs 26:13.
Laziness, excuses and procrastination is the reason many dreams died in the year 2025.
David, in our case study today, went to war with the Philistines against the Israelites, although he couldn't complete the mission. Before he returned home his family were taken captive by the Amalekite including all his troop’s family. Then David encouraged himself in the Lord and asked,
"8. And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, "Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all."
What would have happened if he didn't confirm from God and pursue the Amalekite? Their family would have gone for life. But he rose up and began to pursue according to the word of the Lord, tracing the footpath of the Amalekite until they found an Egyptian left to die three days ago by his master. Listen to me, until we pursue your dreams we will never find a helper that will connect us. Until you showcase what you have you will remain hidden from your helper. God gave David a go ahead after the Amalekite meanwhile he already arranged a helper, the Egyptian, for him ahead.
Beloved, those dreams are achievable if only we are ready to pursue them, run after them until we find that Egyptian made ready by God to help us. In the year 2026, what are those dreams you need to run after? What do you need to pursue? Which step do you need to take in order to make the year count? Start documenting it right away and prepare to pursue them. Remember, until you pursue those dreams you will never find the needed helper to speak well of you to the right helpers. The year 2026 is a year to pursue and overtake but you need to know what you are pursuing so that you can move ahead.
