Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 26, Day 7, Saturday, 28th June, 2025 TOPIC: ASKING, SEEKING AND KNOCKING: Give Without Request (7)

TOPIC: ASKING, SEEKING AND KNOCKING: Give Without Request (7)

One Year Bible Reading:
Nehemiah 9 - 10, Acts 13: 13 - 52.

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 7:7.
"7. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"

BIBLE READING:
2 Corinthians 9:7-8.
"7. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:"

Thinking Point:
Don't wait for the needy to ask, when you see the need, meet it.

It's my prayer this morning that all our efforts be rewarded greatly in Jesus's name, Amen.
Oftentimes we see what God is showing us but respond in the other way. We heard the voice of meeting some needs but turned it into a mess. We expected people to make requests while it was glaring to us to meet those needs. We give excuses and brush it off with some flimsy excuses, "Emma, don't be a waster, they will ask if they need". "Can't they work? They are just too lazy". I always say this, 'What God wants you to attend to is what He makes you see often, not what He wants you to criticize, when you get this and respond positively you are led by God. What I have realised is that, some, because of rejection, try not to make requests or paraventure they've been turned down many times so it becomes too hard to make requests, give when you see such.

We don't need to be cajole to give, we don't need to wait when there is a need. As believers, we feel the urge to pay for people's transport while on transit or meet some needs within the neighbourhood, in our place of work and in our churches but we try to shy away from it. Yes, many could come out boldly to ask, seek and find but many may not be able to do this publicly, only through prayers and you are the answer to their prayers, that is why God placed it in your heart but all we see is ‘why will they need it? Why should I give it? Am I in Abuja to count bridges? No, if we are not meeting any needs in others lives we are not meant to live, yes, if we are not a problem solver, not just at work, but in all facets of life, we are not meant to be alive.

Don't wait for people to ask for help, help them. When you help people you are creating a source of help for yourself. Remember those who once helped and blessed you. Help those who can't reward you. Help those who refuse to help you in time past, by so doing, "Then, God will be able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:" you will always have what to give and never lack what you need. As the Lord laid it in your heart, be glad to meet the need and you will be the answer to someone's prayer. Do have a blessed day ahead.

Good morning, and God bless you.
