Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 27, Day 3, Tuesday, 1st July, 2025 TOPIC: FAITHFULNESS Precedes FULFILMENT: Free Of Grudges (3)

TOPIC: FAITHFULNESS Precedes FULFILMENT: Free Of Grudges (3)

One Year Bible Reading:
Esther 5 - 7, Acts 15: 22 - 35.

MEMORY VERSE:
Nehemiah 9:7-8
"7. You are the lord God, who chose Abram and brought him from Ur of the Chaldeans and renamed him Abraham. 8. When he had proved himself faithful, you made a covenant with him to give him and his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Girgashites. And you have done what you promised, for you are always true to your word."

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 14:13-16.
"13. And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram. 14. And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan. 15. And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus. 16. And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people."

"HAPPY NEW MONTH, A MONTH OF ALL AROUND REST AND COMPLETION"

Thinking Point:
A heart filled with grudges can't access the fulfilment of God's promises unless it's empty.

I welcome you to the seventh month of the year which is our month of Rest and Perfection. What God has begun in our lives shall be completed and we shall have our rest this month in Jesus mighty name, walk in this reality this month.

Today our focus is a "Heart Free Of Grudges". An empty heart is a heart ready to live faithfully. When you abhor grudges against others you can't be faithful to God, you can't access right standing with the almighty. A heart that keeps malice, bitterness, and an unforgiving heart hinders the promises of God's fulfilment. Remember, God has not forgotten what He promised, He is only expecting our faithfulness before the fulfilment of those promises and when you can't let go of hurt, when someone's past stops you from doing them good or helping them, then you are not ready for the promises.

Yes, Lot cheated Abraham in Genesis chapter 13 by choosing the best of the land for his cattle without considering his uncle's well being. He thought he was smarter and wiser not knowing that he acted foolishly. But in our reading today, the same land he chose brought him into trouble, he was a victim of captivity. Abraham was a man with a free heart, a man with a clean heart and a forgiven spirit. The Bible said, He gathered 318 trained soldiers in his house and went after the captors of his nephew without a second thought. He went and recovered all that was taken away and brought back his nephew. A man ready for the fulfilment of God's promises will never see a bad situation as a time to make fun or mock such a person. A heart ready for God's promises to come to pass will let go of every hurt or wrong doing and rescue such persons. You can't be keeping malice with people and expect God to bring to pass what He promised you, no. The Psalmist said,
"3. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4. HE THAT HATH CLEAN HANDS, AND A PURE HEART; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. -"Psalms 24:3-4"

A pure heart can only access the fulfilment of God's promise. Who do you need to let go this morning? Who do you need to forgive and rescue from their challenges? Who do you need to forget how they treated you in the past? It's time to clear off the rubbish in our heart and let God have His way so we can be ready for the fulfilment of those promises. Abraham never kept a hurt against Lot, so He was able to prepare for the promises of God. Started taking step towards the fulfilment of God's promises in your life by religuishing every one who hurt you and render the needed help to them.

Good morning, and God bless you.
