Thinking Point:
The best way to enjoy speed in life is to be led by those who had plight that road and succeeded before.
We started by saying disobedience to God's instructions leads to delay, and yesterday we were made to know that lack of direction can also be the reason for delay. Today, lack of good leadership or mentorship leads to delay in one's life. Imagine following someone who doesn't have any record of success in life and who never sees reasons why he is not succeeding, how can his followers not experience delay? When a leader doesn't care about your growth you tend to live in perpetual delay if care is not taken. Good leader or mentor is one of the fastest ways out of delay because they will motivate you with their accomplishments and monitor you as you grow after them.
Joshua never experienced delay in his ministry like Moses did. Moses had no mentor or leader who put him through the processes of leadership but Joshua had a mentor in Moses. Joshua must have learnt how to communicate with God when he was following Moses, for the scripture says, when Moses departs the temple Joshua remains in the temple. Many would have been controlling the business of the nation if they had the opportunity or access to a good mentor early in life. The delay that many go through today is as a result of lack of mentorship.
Who is your mentor? Who is your leader? Who motivates you to do what you do? Who is monitoring your progress, who or to whom are you accountable to? Elijah mentors Elisha he was able to accomplish double what Elijah did. The disciples of Jesus enjoyed this tutelage and their ministry grew speedily. Get a monitor to move out of that delay zone today. You need to be guided in order to enjoy speed.
