TOPIC: WHY LACK OF HELPER?: Lack Of Specific Need (5)

One Year Bible Reading:
Isaiah 15 - 18,
Ephesians 2:11 - 22.

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 60:11-12.
"11. Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. 12. Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies."

BIBLE READING:
Luke 18:2-5.
"2. Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3. And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5. Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me."

Thinking Point:
Lack of specific requests leads to no request.

Today shall be a great and wonderful day with the help of God in Jesus name, Amen.
Jesus made it known that we are to ask in order to receive, to seek in order to find and knock for the doors to be opened to us, no help comes our way without action. Many make requests, they ask but do not receive, seek but do not find and knock but the door remains closed, why? Because their requests are not specific, they have too much need to be presented to God each day. What they cry to God for yesterday is different from what they presented today. God is even confused on what to instruct their helper to do. A closed mouth is a closed destiny but the mouth may not be close but lack a specific request. To enjoy help we have to let people know the specific help we need.

The widow in our passage today knew she needed help and she went to the judge who she knew could help her. She presented her request despite being a bad judge. She kept reminding him of her situation day and night until the bad judge made a statement, "4. ...., Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5. Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.", and Jesus said how much more will our father give us whatever we need of Him. We go to God with different requests daily. We present new requests without priority, just like a carpenter hitting four different nails at once without a target, all the nails will bend without achieving his aim. When we go to God in prayers, God doesn't know our priority, He doesn't know what to do first. He was preparing for what you presented to Him three days ago, you came up with a new request without the result of the last request, which of them is your priority? When a helper is confused about what you really need he won't be able to help you out. What do you really need Him to do? The widow kept presenting one specific request to the judge, not a different request, "avenge me of my enemy". What is the specific help you need? What do you need your helper to do for you specifically? Let it be your consistent request. Stop going to God or presenting different requests to your helpers every time you appear before them. Be specifics with what you want, present a summary of your needs, not all your wants.

Good morning, and God bless you.
