Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 44, Day 1, Sunday, 26th October, 2025 TOPIC: THE GLORY OF GOD: Is The Face Of God (1)

TOPIC: THE GLORY OF GOD: Is The Face Of God (1)

One Year Bible Reading:
Jeremiah 19 - 22
2 Timothy 2: 1 - 26

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 33:18
"18. And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

BIBLE READING:
Exodus 33:19-23.
"19. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. 20. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. 21. And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: 22. And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: 23. And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen."

Thinking Point:
The Glory of God is God's personification.

A glorious week to every follower of Mobile Daily Devotional. I see God's glory manifesting around our lives from this day on in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.

This week we shall be digging deep in what the Glory of God is. What is the Glory of God? How can we describe God's Glory and many more shall be our focus this week and next by the grace of God. Have you ever imagined what God's glory looks like? You know, when we were younger in our Orthodox church, whenever we were singing any song with glory, we gave folded fingers to God signifying Glory to God. Is that really the Glory of God?

I was invited to speak in a church a few months back on the topic The Glory of God and Dominion. I went to God with the question, "What is your Glory? and that we shall all see and hear in this series.

In Exodus 33, Moses made a request to God asking for His glory. It wasn't an irony the response of God to Moses. God replied in verse 20 and said,
"20. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live."

The first level of the Glory of God is the "Face Of God". When Moses asked God for His Glory, God said, my face can't be revealed to anyone, meaning, this is the highest level of my Glory and can't be seen by you, I can't reveal my face to you my servant Moses.

When God was speaking in the book of Isaiah 42:8, He said,
"8. I am the LORD: that is my name: And My Glory Will I Not Give To Another, Neither My Praise To Graven Images."

Here, God was speaking of His face not his entire Glory. He denied Moses seeing His face because that was the greatest level of His Glory to behold. Moses never knew the face of God was His glory until he asked.

Beloved, there are different levels of God's Glory and there is a level of Glory we all belong to. The face of God is not for all to see or behold. There are levels of glory that men will have access to, we shall see this as this teaching continues. But the first and highest level of God's Glory is the face of God which he declared that even Moses can't access it. The face of God is the Glory of God.

God Bless you and Good Morning.
