TOPIC: SOURCE OF LIFTING: God Lifts The Humble (2)

Revelation 1

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 75:6 - 7.
"6. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another."

BIBLE READING:
James 4:10.
"10. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up."

Thinking Point:
Humility attracts God's lifting, be Humble and you will be lifted.

This week, My God will change your level, grant you the desired lifting you've been crying for In Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
I believe we are agreed that lifting, progress, change of position is from God. No man has the power to lift you if God never ordained it. Before God lifts a man there are some virtues that will be seen in him/her. Today, we are discussing Humility as the first virtue that attracts God's lifting. God loves those who are humble, those who are not boastful and never look down on others. When you are proud you repel God's lifting. God doesn't invest in people who will not honour and give Him glory. Humility is a sign that shows that one is ready for lifting. Humility is the ability to stay low even when you are above all. To be humble is to see others at your level regardless of your accomplishments.

Apostle James said, develop the attitude of humility and God, himself, will lift you up. When God searches our heart and sees how humble we are He prepares a place for us above our level. Those who live humble are those who see their lives as nothing without God. Humility lets you treat others right regardless of their position and ranking. One of the criteria God uses in choosing Moses was his meekness, the scripture say, 
"(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the" face of the earth.) - Numbers 12:3.

He didn't become meek after God called him, no he was a meek man before God lifted him to be the leader of the Israelite. When you are humble you are attracting God's lifting. How humble are you to your spouse, your boss, your parents and your colleagues? Humility is the way to the top, seek to humble yourself before all and God will lift you above all.
