TOPIC: SOURCE OF LIFTING: Lifting By Obedience (3)

Psalms 75:6 - 7.
"6. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another."

BIBLE READING:
Deuteronomy 28:13.
"13. And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:"

Thinking Point:
Every instruction from God is to lift us above our present position. Be obedient.

A beautiful morning to you all. Our lifting will no longer be delayed any more, we are changing levels for better in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Humility is one of the prerequisites for God's lifting according to Apostle James in our study yesterday. Another prerequisite for lift is obedience to God's instructions and directives. When God gives instructions, it is for our lifting not for His lifting. Every word of God to humans is to better our lives, not to change His. Harkening to God's instructions is the fastest way to the top, because He will never lead us into destruction but to the top. When God called Moses in the book of Exodus he was lifted above Pharaoh in Egypt. When God instructed Abraham to move to a nation without a name, it was to lift Abraham and today, we are all attached to Abraham. Obedience to God's directives can't take us lower than we are but is to lift us above where we could reach without His power.

God told Moses, tell my people to be obedient to all my instruction, all the laws I gave them then, they shall be the head and not the tail, they shall never be beneath but above their contemporaries. That is what God is saying to you today. Your lifting and my lifting is tied to we obeying His instructions, "Go" then we move. "Stop", then we stop. "Give" then we release it. "Speak" then you say what He sent you. Every instruction of God has the ability to move us forward bit by bit if we will diligently obey them. His instructions may look dangerous but it's for our lifting. They may sound stupid but they are for our good.

Ask yourself, can God do you evil by instructing you to carry out an assignment? No, He Loves us more than that, He will never give us instructions to break us but to lift us. What is that assignment you are running from? It's for your lifting, give it a trier 
and you will be glad you did. Obedience to God's leading and instructions lifts us up and not the other way round. Be obedient to His instructions.
