Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 49, Day 7, Saturday, 6th December, 2025 TOPIC: APPRECIATION DAY: Rejoice, Again I Say, Rejoice (7)
TOPIC: APPRECIATION DAY: Rejoice, Again I Say, Rejoice (7)
One Year Bible Reading:
Daniel 7 - 8
3 John
MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 136:1-2.
"1. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2. O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever."
BIBLE READING:
Philippians 4:4-6.
"4. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. 5. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."
Thinking Point:
Being too careful leads to fearfulness. Rejoice and be prayerful.
Today, God will answer all your heart prayers, He will bring results that exceed all your requests in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
The days of this week have been tagged "Appreciation Days" in our devotional meaning, there's always a reason to be grateful for. God knows what we are going through and what we are faced with daily and He won't allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. So therefore, God is telling us today to "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, Rejoice". You may want to ask how it is possible with all the situations around your life? The principle to rejoice always is found in the following verses, He said,
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."
'New International Version' put it this way,
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God".
There are reasons to be safe, sorrowful but that won't solve the problem and end the situation. The best way to end with rejoicing is to refuse to be anxious, so don't be too careful about the situation. When you are controlled by that situation your peace is gone, your courage has been destroyed and your joy will be conquered, but when you refuse to be anxious, then you can present the issue to God in prayer, with supplication. What is the difference between Prayer and Supplication we may want to ask. Prayer is broad. It's all forms of communication between man and God, it involves worship, praise, praying for oneself, relatives, speaking in tongues and hearing from God. But supplication is one of the above, it's being specific about a point you want God to specially intervene in. Hannah was praying but she presented her supplication to God, that reason for reproach is what you are supplicating for. So when Apostle Paul said, by Prayer and Supplication, it wasn't a mistake, No, he was simply saying, pray and present that situation that's bringing anxiety to your heart to God. Thank Him, praise Him, revere Him but present the trouble of your heart to Him. Until this is done, you can't enjoy the peace of God that passes all understanding, that is when you can rejoice. You can't rejoice when your heart is disturbed. Do you want to rejoice always, then, make your request known to God. Present those supplications to God and let the peace of God take over your life. Rejoice always and I say it again, Rejoice.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
