Happy New Month
This month will be to us, a continuation of God's Love we've been enjoying in all areas of life, clarity shall be our portion, we will enjoy divine provision in all facets of life in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
We started learning from Prophet Jonah's life last week and we will continue in that light this week again as God enlightens us the more in Jesus' precious name, Amen.
Today, our focus is what I call, "Way of Escape". No one can be trapped for life when there is access to God. Either being tempted or falling into temptation there's always a second chance if we can find God through the season of prayers. During the trying period, God watches if we will turn to Him for help in prayer, if we will do the needful or depend on our own strength. When we access Him and trust in Him, He makes a way of escape but when we refuse to seek His help He lets us do it in our way. He may send people to convince us to believe in Him but if such will not trust God then it's left for them to decide their facts. Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthian 10:13,
"13. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
Let me expatiate on this verse. When you are going through temptation, what determines your way of escape is your stand in that temptation. When you fall in that temptation your escape won't be easy but when you stand for God, face the temptations head on, God shows up with a way of escape. If Jonah wasn't ready to go to Nineveh he might die in the belly of the fish and God will get someone else to carry out the assignment. The season of prayer exposes his decision during that temptation. He allowed God to have his way. He surrendered to God totally and God instructed the fish to vomit him at a different location to start all over again. Bible scholars, why didn't God instruct the fish to vomit him at Nineveh so that he wouldn't have to start the journey again? To test his decision if he will still turn back again. Your decision during temptation has a lot to do with your survival in that temptation. There's what God wants you to learn from that temptation and until you learn and determine to keep moving no way of escape will be presented before you. God makes a way of escape for His children who are ready to do His bidding.
How long have you been in that wilderness of temptation? What has been your decision in that temptation? Are you yielding to the temptation or fighting the temptations? Jesus fought with the temptations and won, then the Angels ministered to Him. In that situation your decision determines your survival. God can only instruct the fish to vomit you when you decide to dance to His tune. The longer you reject His will the longer you stay in that situation which may become too dangerous for your life. The escape route is determined by you yielding to God's leading.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
