Jeremiah 33:3.
"3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."
Thinking Point:
Lack of good Communication with God results in deafness to His Voice.
As we go out today, may our ears hear and understand His voice clearly so as to act promptly in Jesus name, Amen.
God is interested in speaking to His children at will. He desires to lead us daily in all our endeavours. He is not interested in waste of resources, energy and time, He wants to speak to us on how to make profit, manage resources and draw all men to Himself. Nevertheless, we need to call on Him and ask for His voice in all we do. We need to speak to Him before He speaks to us. We need to seek His face on every matter that concerns us. Jesus was speaking in Matthew 7:7 saying,
"7. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
It is our duty to make the first impression then His voice will follow. We need to ask, seek and find before He responds to us. He wants us to ask Him questions at every moment before taking decisions but the reverse is the case. Most times we claim we are asking or praying while we are only complaining and grumbling. We murmur and cry instead of asking according to His word. Prayer is reminding God what He promised according to His word, bringing to His remembrance His intention concerning our lives.
He told Jeremiah while he was still in the prison, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."
God was simply saying, Jeremiah, wherever you are, I can hear your voice. Whenever you call I will answer and show you great and mighty things you know not. I will reveal mysteries, I will expose secrets and hidden treasure to you, no matter where you are, just call upon me and you will hear my voice, that is God for you. Where we are isn't a barrier to call and hear His voice. We don't assume what our children need until they make a request. We may see some and sense some but not all until they make the request. Hearing God's voice is preceded by our cry and our request in prayer.
David prayed by asking God,
"8. And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. 1 Samuel 30:8.
God responded to Him instantly and he went for recovery. Ask Him for His voice in any situation and He will gladly respond. Today, I see God responding to our voices with His voice, in a clearer tone without confusion in Jesus name, amen. Our ears will be open to receive His instructions and directive from today on, In Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
