Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry© Mobile Daily Devotional Week 18, Day 5, Thursday, 30th April, 2026 TOPIC: FOLLOWING JESUS: Response Of Men (12)

Image
TOPIC: FOLLOWING JESUS: Response Of Men (12) One Year Bible Reading: 2nd Samuel 7 - 8 Luke 23:50-56 - 24:1-12 MEMORY VERSE: Matthew 11:28. "28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." BIBLE READING: John 6:14 "14. Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world." Thinking Point: Our attitude towards others confirms where we stand with God. Today being the last day of the month of April, is a proof of God's mercy at work in our lives. The strength, blessing and mercies of God has been our sustenance, may His name alone be praised forevermore in Jesus name, Amen. As we conclude on our teaching about our topic "Following Jesus" our focus today says, "Response of Men". What are people saying about our lifestyle? What they see in our lives determines the conclusion of where we belong. When Jesus was done feeding...

TOPIC: FOLLOWING JESUS: There Is Harvest (11) One Year Bible Reading: 2nd Samuel 4 - 6 Luke 23:26 - 49 MEMORY VERSE: Matthew 11:28. "28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." BIBLE READING: John 6:13. "13. Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten." Thinking Point: Whatever you offer God with thanks returns as a bountiful harvest. This morning, your littleness is blessed, your smallness becomes greatness, you will become a blessing to the world around you in Jesus' mighty name, Amen. When we surrender to God what we have, He returns it multiple times. When we appreciate Him for the little we have, He multiplies it. Inability to release what's in our hand to God is the main reason for lack and want. When we allow Him to take over what's ours He will never return it the same, that...

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." BIBLE READING: John 6:12. "12. When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost." Thinking Point: Being Satisfied isn't a reason for waste but saving for the coming day. Glory to God our Father the supplier of all needs and giver of life. Whatever seems not to be enough in your life and my life, my God is making provision beyond expectations in Jesus' Mighty name, amen. Our God is a provider, our sustainer and sufficiency. He made ways and provisions for His children in the time of needs and He will not stop in doing it. Jesus, our Lord, fed more than 5,000 men with women and children with five loaves of barley and two small fishes. They were satisfied without anyone...

He distributed to the disciples, AND THE DISCIPLES TO THEM THAT WERE SET DOWN; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.   Thinking Point: "Holding back the blessings meant for others can trigger consequences." This week, our portion will be released to us, our right will not be taken by someone else in Jesus name. Likewise, what belongs to others in our care, God will give us the courage to release them in Jesus' mighty name, Amen. Beloved, our focus today will be more directed to us personally. The lesson for today is from Jesus' Disciples, they were the link between Jesus and the multitude. They were avenues by which Jesus reached out to the crowd. They were to receive fro...

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." BIBLE READING: John 6:11. "11. "... HE DISTRIBUTED TO THE DISCIPLES, AND THE DISCIPLES TO THEM THAT WERE SET DOWN; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would." Thinking Point: Don't ignore your discouragers, get them involved as cheerleaders. This new week, we will testify, many will jubilate and congratulate us because God is visiting our lives in Jesus name, Amen. Gratitude over little things, we said, yields multiplication. Have you thank God for those benefits you look down on? Those help you commonise? Say, Thank You Jesus for every little and magnificent help I have received, I am most grateful. This morning, we shall learn another principle from Jesus' lifestyle. Jesus was informed that a lad had five loave...

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." BIBLE READING: John 6:11. "11. AND JESUS TOOK THE LOAVES; AND WHEN HE HAD GIVEN THANKS, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would." Thinking Point: Thanking God for little or small provision is asking God for multiplication. Today, all our past effort shall pay off and our labour will be rewarded in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.  Being grateful is being thankful for God's blessings. Grumbling is a sign of ingratitude. Tagging provision 'Small' is a sign of ingratitude or lack of appreciation. If you can't thank God for little things you won't grow to show gratitude for bigger things. When you tagged provision "too small...

So the men sat down, in number about five thousand." Thinking Points: Acting with the available resources attract other resources needed. The Lord's hand has preserved us though the huddles of this week again and we came out victorious, glory be to God Almighty forevermore, Amen. Yesterday, in our study, we saw how Andrew gave Jesus another discouraging idea after that of Philip's advice. Philip told Jesus the amount of money that's needed to feed the people while Andrew presented a lad with five barley loaves and two small fishes and still asked Jesus "What can that do in this situation?" A vi...

There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?" Thinking Points: Be sensitive and attentive to small inputs that can birth massive outputs. I declare upon you this morning, you will never get it wrong again, you will get it right and make something meaningful with the right timing in Jesus name, Amen. We have made it known that the world is filled with negative minded people around us, even Jesus, our Lord, has them around him, people without faith but fact, they are realists. People who only believe in what they see and feel. Those who dictate the future according to th...

Philip answered him, Two hundredth pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little." Thinking Points: Don't be limited by negative minded people, move forward. A wonderful day ahead of us in Jesus name, Amen. In continuation of our lesson from the Book of John chapter 6, Jesus was privileged to receive a negative response from those he trusted that should know better. His response wasn't an answer but a discouragement to think further. He said to Jesus,  "Two hundredth pennyworth of bre...

Thinking Point: Jesus asks questions, we also need to ask questions before acting. Today, I pray with you, at that moment of confusion, discouragement, disappointment and silence in our life, my God will show up with testimonies in Jesus' mighty name, Amen. Following Jesus, believing in His power and having faith that he can do all things isn't a waste of time. Serving Jesus with our time, resources, energy and strength can't be in vain because God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him, Hebrews 11:6. So, in the time of confusion, rejection, neglect, God knows what to do, He knows how to handle the situation we are in....

Thinking Point: Jesus knows the needs of His children before they ask because He cares. This week, the Lord is visiting all unspoken needs, meeting every spiritual and physical longing in Jesus' mighty name, Amen. Our Lord Jesus knows the desires of our heart. He knows what our needs are per time per chance. He knows our spiritual needs likewise our physical needs. He knows what the most important needs are at every moment. He will not attend to physical needs when we are in need of spiritual things and vice versa. When Jesus saw the crowd tripping towards him, He saw b...
