Thinking Point:
Whatever name you are called isn't your identity until you accept it.
Glory be to God for New a week. We bless God for the blessings of sustainability that has been lavished upon us, we are grateful for all His gift upon us in Jesus name, Amen.
This week God will be reawakening our mind from every negative deposit of human in us that we held unto which has caused us to live lower than who God has ordained us to be. Many people are limited by what men said about them, by what name they have been called over the time. By words spoken by their parents, spouse, colleagues, even their mentor. The words stuck to their mind and they couldn't break it off. I pray today, that you will be free from every word that has limited you in life in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
Jephthah was a man in the lineage of Gileadite, he was the son of Gilead but his mother was a harlot. First to know is that you never choose the situation you find yourself in. He was not there when his father met his mother who was a harlot. His father never sent him out because he was the son of a harlot. No, he kept him closer to himself to show that he cared for him. That people called you names doesn't mean everyone is calling you names. Even if everyone calls you names, is that your name? Is that what God called you? Despite being a harlot son his father held him closer. Always search for those who honour and respect you, not those who write you off. The scripture introduced Japhthah as,"
"Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour..."
He was called different names but the scripture said he was a "Mighty man of valour". I don't know the name given to you by those who think less of you, but one thing I know that God said about you and I is,
"Isaiah 62:3-4 (NLT)
3 The lord will hold you in his hand for all to see— a splendid crown in the hand of God.
4 Never again will you be called “The Forsaken City” or “The Desolate Land.” Your new name will be “The City of God’s Delight” and “The Bride of God,” for the lord delights in you and will claim you as his bride."
We are the delight of God, the bride of God, a city that can't be hidden, set upon the hills, Hallelujah. It's time to start deleting every negative name, title, negative imagination, negative thoughts, words that have been relegating you behind, start to think in the line of what God said about you. He said, "
"11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11.
Change your thought today to the thought of God concerning you.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
