TOPIC: WHAT BELONGS TO GOD? Our Best (6)

One Year Bible Reading:
2nd Samuel 22
John 3:1 - 21

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 20:25.
"25. And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's."

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 22:1-2.
"1. And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, 2. Behold, here I am.
And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of."

Thinking Point:
Our best resource belongs to God, not our leftovers.

Welcome to another wonderful day full of God's grace and faithfulness. Fresh mercy for a new day will speak on our behalf today in Jesus' mighty Name, Amen.

What belongs to God has been our focus. Today it is my pleasure to let us know that our best belongs to God, our best resources, most cherished objects and subjects belong to God. Everything we own today is given to us by God, He is the giver and can request it at will from us at any time. Listen to me, God will never request of us what we don't have, that is why I believe nobody is empty. God gave to all according to our ability so when He requests anything of us He makes a request according to what He has blessed us with.

A night before the Israelite left Egypt God instructed them to ask the Egyptian to bless them and they were favoured favorably with gold, silvers, sheep, cattles and flocks in numbers, and many articles for their journey into the wilderness. May I ask us this morning, was it for feeding? No. They were meant for sacrifice to God in the wilderness. Every resource God releases upon us belongs to Him. Every sacrifice they made in the wilderness was from what God instructed them to receive from the Egyptian. Mind you, whenever they use the resources wrongly they attract God's anger, Exodus 32:1-5. What God gives to us belongs to Him for a purpose in our hands.

God called Abraham and instructed Him to give Isaac. God never requested for Ismael, not for his servant or animal but His only son that he loved. He called him by name, "Isaac, whom thou love", our best is God's request. Our best belongs to God. Those resources; cars, houses, wealth, money all belong to God and He can request it of us at any time. Apostle Paul said,
"1 Corinthians 4:7,
"7. For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?"

According to God's servant, Bishop David Abioye, we are not an accomplisher, we are receivers of whatever we have today. We didn't achieve it, we are just a custodian of what we have because they all belongs to God. Stop being too proud of what you have, you are just a receiver and when it's misuse or we refuse to use it for God He takes it back. When we use it wisely, He renews it, Hallelujah. Abraham had Isaac back and other children after Isaac because He gave Isaac to God. Your best resources belongs to God use it for Him.

God Bless you and Good Morning.
