TOPIC: WHAT BELONGS TO GOD? Showing Mercy (8)

One Year Bible Reading:
1 Kings 1
John 4: 1 - 26

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 20:25.
"25. And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's."

BIBLE READING:
Hosea 6:6.
"6. For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings."

Thinking Point:
Showing others mercy is giving to God what belongs to Him.

This week will not end without our testimonies being delivered. We will possess all our possessions as ordained by God this week in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

What belongs to God is what we have. God has already given it to us. He is only requesting that we use it wisely. Get this right, God is like a farmer who sows seeds in order to get fruits. He gives out in order to receive, that is the principle of God. He doesn't withhold or kill what will yield fruits. He gave Jesus to have the whole world. He is a farmer who plants to harvest and that is what God wants you and I to become. He called us to be a sower of mercy, one who releases to get more. When you refuse to release what you have it won't grow, it will die a natural death. What you don't release will never come back. Jesus was released to the world and He went back with billions of believers all across the world and still spreading. Showing mercy to others is giving to God what belongs to Him. You may want to ask how? Let us hear what Jesus said in Matthew 25:34-37, 40.

"34. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35. For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36. Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?"
40. And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

I know we are all familiar with this passage of the Bible. Jesus said whatever you give, release or send to others is what you give to God. Giving to God goes beyond sacrifice alone but showing mercy and solving problems you can handle in people's life. Showing hospitality is a form of giving to God. When you help that stranger, the homeless man, cloth the naked, feed the hunger, visit the sick, beloved, you are giving to God what belongs to Him. When you end up solving others' problems you are pleasing God. God loves and accepts those who show mercy more than those who make sacrifices. Showing mercy to others is giving joy to God and releasing what belongs to Him. How merciful are you?

God Bless you and Good Morning.
