TOPIC: WHAT BELONGS TO GOD? Our Lives (9)

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 20:25.
"25. And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's."
BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 43:6-7.
"6. I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7. Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him."
Thinking Point:
When we show forth the praise of God, we are giving Him what belongs to Him.
We blessed the Lord, the one who preserved us to the end of this week. God has been good to us on all sides despite the attempt of the devil against us, we ascribe all the praise to Him alone.
Today is the last day of our teaching, What Belongs To God? In the course of these studies, we have come to discover that, our Worship, All accolades, Our Love, Thanksgiving, Our Body, Our Best resources, Our Reverence, and Showing Mercy to others, all belong to God. Today, which is our last study on the topic, is titled, "We Belong To God", we are created for His glory, to bring honour to Him. Our mindset on every matter should be, "Will God be glorified with what I'm doing?"
Isaiah 43:21.
"21. This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
When all we do doesn't bring praise to God we are not giving God what belongs to Him. When all we do is to bring praise to ourselves, we deny God what belongs to him. Hear me, when your lifestyle turns people away from God, God is not praised, He is receiving nothing from you. Showing forth the praise of God is by affecting others for God.
Apostle Peter said,
1 Peter 2:9-10.
"9. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10. Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy."
The reason why we are called to Christianity is to show forth His praise, to make God happy that we are His children. We are receivers of God's mercy for the purpose of bringing Him praise. He delight in us giving to Him what is His, all the praises. Let your words reflect what God has made possible in your life and let others praise Him on your behalf. God was angry with His creation in Genesis 6:5, and He said,
“5. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
When your imagination is filled with wickedness and evil, God is not glorified and it can lead to destruction. What belongs to God is showing forth His praise in our marriages, offices, family and environment. Let your life honour God daily and you will be giving God what belongs to Him.
