Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 52, Day 2, Monday, 22nd December, 2025 TOPIC: THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD: Strength to Walk and not Faint (9)
TOPIC: THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD: Strength to Walk and not Faint (9)
One Year Bible Reading:
Habakkuk 1 - 3
Revelation 13:11 - 14:1 - 20
MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 41:10.
"10. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 40:31.
"31. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; AND THEY SHALL WALK, AND NOT FAINT."
Thinking Point:
The strength of God enables one to walk without fainting.
This coming year, we shall walk and not faint, we shall run and not grow weary, we shall mount up with eagle's wings in Jesus' mighty Amen.
The third need of God's strength is to renew our strength not faint while walking. God's strength, as we said earlier, enables us to soar like an eagle, it enables us to run and not be weary and it helps us not to faint when we are being tempted. The inner strength of God increases our resistance to temptation, prepares us to face the devil with all his strategies so that we remain strong while walking. This strength of God was active in the life of Joshua and Caleb during their years in the wilderness. When twelve spies were sent to access the land of Canaan, which is the promised land for the Israelites, they came to Moses with different stories. Two had the strength to walk without fainting while the other ten spies lacked this spirit in them. They were all in the wilderness for years, walking in the strength of God but when the time came to access their spirit-man they were already fainting and couldn't see beyond their natural eyes. Caleb responded to Moses by saying,
"30. And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. Numbers 13:30
The other spies were already fainting at the sight of the Giants in the land.
Many believers today lack the strength to walk in the face of temptation. They see things and are ruled by the physical not the spiritual. They are fainting because their strength has been drained. But when we wait on God in prayers and fasting, when we walk with God, He renews our strength to walk and not faint, to stand in the face of temptation and defeat the enemy.
This coming year, I see God renewing our strength to walk through life without fainting, to see what God has ahead of us in all ramifications of life in Jesus name, Amen.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
