TOPIC: MOVING WITH THE CROWD 4: Leaves In Fear And Are Afraid

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 18:19-20.
19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

BIBLE READING:
Judges 7:2-3.
"2. And the LORD said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’"
"3. Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead.’ ” And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained."

Thinking Point:
The crowd always look determined and strong but is filled with fear and scared of the unknown. Be wise.

God knows who we are inwardly no matter how we prove to be outwardly. He knows how fearful and scared men can be. The crowd is filled with fearful people who moves around few courageous persons. The crowd might prove to be courageous, strong and selfless but it's not what it proofs to be within.

God told Gideon to make the announcement that the fearful and afraid ones should go home and let the courageous remain, and twenty-two thousand warriors left the camp to return home out of thirty-two thousand. The fearful hides within the little brave warriors. How will you feel if those leading you are fearful people? You can't see their heart nor know their fears but they remain in the crowd leading you without courage. Be yourself and let God lead you to where you are destined to be. Stop following the bunch of fearful people in your marriage, business, carrier and spiritual life. Stay out with the two or three persons with good records and have God as their leader. God's presence remains with the minority not with the mixed multitude. The crowd is full of fearful people who pretend to the stronger. Be informed.
