TOPIC: WHAT ARE YOU PASSING ON?: As A Father, Are You Responsible? (2)

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Timothy 2:2
"2. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.

BIBLE READING:
Proverbs 22:6.
"6. Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Thinking Point:
Training a child isn't by the use of rod and discipline alone, but actions and words. Actions and words also teaches more.

As we step out for our daily bread this day, we will encounter God's supplies this week in Jesus name, Amen.
As a father, what examples are you portraying to your children? What are you teaching them? What upbringing are you instilling in them? There's an assurance of 60% our children inheriting what's in us, in word, character, facial look and attitude. What are you passing over?

Yes, smoking won't be the reason to go to hell neither drunkenness but your body, (the temple of God), and life span is reducing on a daily basis. When you smoke, how do you convince a child that it's bad to smoke? When you send your children to your concubines what are you teaching them? Raising your hands against your wife, is a confirmation that nothing is wrong with domestic violence before those children. If all you do is to come home late at night drunk, become a lion to your children, it's a pass over to them. Attitude of laziness, flirting around, arrogance and godlessness behaviour is a passing on to them.

Training a child is not about beating or speaking to them alone, but it includes how we relate with others, the words of our mouth, the love we show to them and their mother. Are they learning godly attitude from you? Do you show them the way to God? What can you be proud of that you are passing over? It's time to reason on what your influence is over those children. First of all, teach them to know and fear the Lord, then how to relate with others better. May the Lord help us train our children in the right way to go in Jesus name, Amen.

Good Day and God Bless you.
