TOPIC: WHAT ARE YOU PASSING ON?: As A Leader, What Are You Passing On? (4)

MEMORY VERSE: 
2 Timothy 2:2
"2. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. 

BIBLE READING: 
Psalms 78:70-72.
"70. He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds:"
"71. From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance."
"72. So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands."

Thinking Point:
The collapse of any country, organisation, ministry and family depends on what the leader passes over.

As today marks the last day of the month of July, may your blessings for the month not pass you by in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Today, we are speaking to everyone in the position of leadership. I keep repeating this, everyone is a leader in one area or the other. There are people we are all called to serve at every point in time. How are you leading them; Tribalism, Religious, Selfishness or Ruling with an iron hand? Most leaders forgot where God brought them from, who they were in time past and How God has changed their lives, now, they are ruling instead of leading. You are always the Commander-In-Chief. You oppress those under you forgetting that the position you hold was also occupied by someone some time ago. 
You have forgotten that, there's a tenure attached to it. What are you passing on to others coming after you? What example are you teaching them? 

God saw a trait of Leadership in David while He was still a Shepherd boy and called him to lead the house of Jacob. The scripture said, 

"72. So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands."

He led them with the integrity of heart. What are you feeding those you are leading with? God saw the trait of Leadership in you, placed you in position and you became position oriented and power intoxicated, are you leading with integrity of heart? Can you be glad to say, "I have taught them the way to live as a leader?" That your former leader ruled instead of leading isn't a reason for you to do the same. When you leave that position will you be able to say, "I led or I ruled ?" Check yourself today, look behind, are you still leading or you are taking a stroll?
