TOPIC: UNREQUESTED FAVOUR: By Our Sacrifice (2)

MEMORY VERSE: 
Jeremiah 29:11.
"11. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

BIBLE READING: 
1 Kings 3:10, 12-13.
"10. And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing."
"12. Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee."
"13. And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days."

Thinking Point:
Our genuine sacrifice is an activator for Unrequested favour from God and men.

This week, beyond our request, we will be favoured and remembered for good. God will shine His face on us and establish us rightly this week, in Jesus wonderful name, Amen.

Many enjoyed what they never requested from God in the Bible. They got extra blessings and help beyond their desires like what we saw yesterday in Elijah's life. Today, our focus is on King Solomon's Unrequested favour from God. King Solomon made the greatest sacrifice in the history of kings in Israel which promoted God to visit him in his dream. God gave him an open cheque to request for his desires. After making his mind known, God was baffled about his request which wasn't a selfish request, then, God said beyond your request i am adding Unrequested blessing which are wealth and riches. Take this, when your sacrifice is truly directed to God wholeheartedly, He goes the extra mile to meet your unknown and unrequested desires. He releases His initial plans and purposes for your life that you never imagined. 

How did Solomon activate Unrequested Favour?
"1. Genuine sacrifice to God. When your sacrifice is not biased or human focus, God releases the Unrequested favour. King Solomon sacrificed thousands of sheep to God which no one has ever done before him.
"2. When you are not carried away by presenting selfish requests to God, He goes a long way to release Unrequested favour to you. King Solomon requested for wisdom and understanding, not the lives of his enemies nor for wealth. Be selfless in your request to God. 

God has more than enough blessings to release upon His children but we have to go the extra mile to activate those favours, blessings and benefits. Ours will not elude us in Jesus mighty name, amen.
