TOPIC: WHAT DISCIPLINE DOES; It Conquers Lust (6) 

MEMORY VERSE: 
Hebrews 12:11.
"11. Now no chastening (Discipline) for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

BIBLE READING: 
Matthew 5:27-28.
"27. Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:"
"28. But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."

Thinking Point:
We all have our eyes to see and look but it take discipline not to lust with opposite sex.

Father, we look up to you for the strength to Discipline ourselves day in day out as we run our race on earth, in Jesus Name, Amen.

It takes discipline to conquer lust for opposite sex. Love can't overcome lust neither can pretence do, only discipline can. This discipline starts from the control of one's eye, to the control of one's mind. What you can't look away from will access your mind, and if care is not taking, it will become an obsession. The easiest way to overcome lust from others is discipline. Likewise, this same discipline is what it takes for you to fight lusting for others. Jesus was talking about you lusting for a woman, what you need is discipline. But someone can also lust for you, what you also need is discipline.
 
In Genesis 39:7-9, Potiphar's wife lusted for Joseph but he was able to conquer with discipline. 
David lusted over Bathsheba, with God's anointing over his life, because He lacked Discipline, 2 Samuel 12:2-5. 
Samson was another anointed man of God who couldn't conquer lust because of indiscipline. It isn't the devil, it is the lack of discipline. We may be spiritual and still lack discipline, I pray that the grace of God upon us all will enable us to be self control in all areas of our lives in Jesus mighty name, Amen. 

Discipline your eye and mind over lust and you will conquer the lust of the eyes.
