TOPIC: SERVICE; A DUTY: Must Be Rendered (2)

MEMORY VERSE: 
Exodus 23:25.
"25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee."

BIBLE READING: 
Matthew 25:14-15.
"14. For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods."
"15. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey."

Thinking Point:
We are all endowed to serve not to oppress. We are called to serve at our capacities.

This week will yield positive, profitable and progressive result for you, you will come in contact with purpose in Jesus name, Amen.

Service is not a choice but an obligation. We've all being empowered to serve in different capacity and different location. You are not just special, your uniqueness is your tool for service. Most times, we believe service ends in our various churches, but we got it wrong. Church is a place to grow your relationship with God and exercise it in and out of the church. Being a believer is not exercise in the church, it's exercise in our daily routine, our environment, work place, family, and within company. Yes, we rendered services in church but that's just a minimal aspect of service. Jesus said, "You Are The Light Of The World" not the "light of the church". We are "A city on the Hill" not a city in the church. We are enabled to serve in the world not in the church.

Jesus, from today's passage, talked about a man who gave out gifts to his servants, those gifts are not meant to be used in the church, it's in the world, to win souls to Christ not to win believers in the church. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19,
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"

We are endowed to reach out not to stay in door. Serve God by reaching to someone with that gift of yours. Service is not location bond or church bond. Serve through your place of work place, with your words and attitude, they are all tools to serve with.
