TOPIC: WORKS OF JESUS CHRIST: He did Good (4) 

MEMORY VERSE: 
John 14:12.
"12. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

BIBLE READING: 
Acts 10:38.
"38. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."

Thinking Point:
Living as Jesus lived is about doing good either conveniently or inconveniently, to the available persons.

Doing good attracts good, today, you will harvest good results, good favour and good report in all areas in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

If there's any attribute of Christ to admire is the ability to do good to all men, especially in the household of faith. Doing good should be a way of life not a once in a while attitude. Just like we want a good life, everyone wants to receive good but not everyone likes to do good. Everyone wants to receive but not all want to give and receiving is a harvest of sowing. You can't be callous to people and expect people to be cheerful with you. If you will do what Jesus did and even do greater than Him, you will have to always be good to everyone, not just the selected persons.

The scriptures said of Jesus, "He went about doing Good..." So, we should go about doing good if we will be an imitator of Christ. During His reign on earth, He was touching life, making others smile by bringing joy to every heart. You can't be intentional about wickedness and expect people to look away and favour you. Until you are a good person no one finds reason to do you good. In a nutshell, to be like Jesus, you have to be good to people. To receive good from God and men, you have to be good also. What we sow is what we reap. Being good is for our good not for Jesus' good. Imitate Him by being good.
