Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 40, Day 1 Sunday, 29th September 2024 TOPIC: RECOGNIZING MY HELPER: Everyone Is A Potential Helper.

TOPIC: RECOGNIZING MY HELPER: Everyone Is A Potential Helper.

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 41:6.
"6. They helped every one his neighbour; so and every one said to his brother, "Be of good courage."

BIBLE READING:
John 5:5-8
"5. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years."
"6. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?"
"7. The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me."
"8. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk."

Thinking Point:
Never look down on anyone, they may not help you but they are helper to someone as you are a helper to someone else.

Every man and woman you see today is a potential destiny helper. Everyone has something belonging to someone which may seem unknown to them. Either high or low, great or small, married or unmarried, everyone is created to be a helper. You are a helper at one point in time. Your helper may not give you cash, job, car, clothing. It might be advice, reading someone's book, listening to someone's messages or connecting you to someone, that may be the only help you need to get to your promised land. Some help might be in the form of character molding, habit, spoken words or lifestyle that helps you locate what you're doing wrong. Let me shock you with this, an insane person may be the help you need.

I once had a story of a man driving his car, and the nut of his tyre pulled out while on speed. After settling down, he was confused on how to get a new nut to replace the lost nuts. Then, an insane man came to the scene and jokingly said, "if I were you, I would remove one nut from each tyre to fix this tyre and continue my journey." That was the help he needed at that particular time from an insane man. He did and he was on his way.

We've read from the scripture how the young advise the elderly, how women were able to help men and so on and so forth. Do you know you are someone's helper too? Yes, you're assigned to help some persons at every point in time. What belongs to someone is with you and you have to release it. You might not be able to help everyone but you can help someone at a time. That everyone is a helper doesn't mean everyone must help you, you also can't help everyone, No, helper is assigned to someone not everybody. Have you been in a place where others were helped and you were left out? They are not assigned to help you, they are someone else's helper.

Why did Jesus singled this man out of all other persons? Does it mean He couldn't heal the rest? No, He was his helper at that moment and He came to heal the important man alone. I pray for you today, you will come in contact with your helper in Jesus' wonderful name. Your helper will locate you wherever you are likewise mine. So the first thing to know about help is this: Everyone is a helper but not everyone can help you except those assigned to you.

Good day and God Bless you.
