TOPIC: WALKING WITH GOD: Walking By Faith. (5)

MEMORY VERSE:
Genesis 17:1
"1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless."

BIBLE READING:
Hebrews 11:17-19.
"17. By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,"
"18. of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,"
"19. Concluding That God Was Able To Raise Him Up, Even From The Dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense."

Thinking Point:
Faith is another crucial tool in walking with God. Faith simply means, "He Is Right, Do What He Says".

To walk with God entails a working Faith. What is Faith? "It is believing all will be well because God said it, even when it doesn't look like it". It means, "What He says is right, do what He says". Someone defines Faith in the acronym, "Father, Am In Thy Hands". Come to think of it, what was in the mind of Father Abraham when he prepared to sacrifice His only son? Our scripture said, "Concluding That God Was Able To Raise Him Up, Even From The Dead," what if Isaac wasn't restored, that He never thought of, that is faith. Faith is accepting the message without thinking otherwise. If God said it, then He meant it, that is Faith. 

When the three Hebrew boys, in Daniel chapter 3, stood before the King, and put their lives on a bet with the King, what if the fire consumed them? What if God never showed up? They will be called dead, but that thought never strikes their mind, that is Faith, it doesn't allow other thoughts to take over. 

When Peter and John were going to the temple of prayer at the beautiful gate in Acts chapter 3, they met a man born crippled from birth, by Faith they declared his healing. What if the man didn't rise up and walk, they never thought of this. Faith involves Boldness, Authority and Obedience. To walk with God, you need to be able to obey God's instructions foolishly and boldly declare His word. "If He says it, Just Do It," that's Faith. I pray this morning, may we all be able to walk by faith regardless of the situations around us in Jesus Precious name, Amen. The root of Faith is the word of God, what is God saying about this situation? Apply faith to it and the result will be yours.
