Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 42, Day 2 Monday, 14th October 2024 TOPIC: LET US PRAY: Hear My Cry When I'm Alive (2)

TOPIC: LET US PRAY: Hear My Cry When I'm Alive (2)

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Thessalonians 5:17.
Pray without ceasing.

BIBLE READING:
Exodus 3:7-8
"7. And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;"
"8. And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, ..."

Thinking Point:
It is the expectation of everyone to be heard and receive response when they cry, what is the use of help when the victim has been despised?

This week, our voices for help shall receive the right response in Jesus name, Amen.

God met with Moses and gave him an assignment because of the cry of the Israelites. He was in the forest after being a fugitive for forty years. God was so concerned that He attracted Moses with a burning bush, all because the Israelite cried in Egypt. God will raise someone to help us when we are still alive because of our cry in Jesus name, Amen.

Abel's cry was not heard by God until he was killed, Gen. 4:8-10. When Cain plotted to kill Abel, heaven didn't give attention but after his death his blood cried out for revenge and God intervened by laying a curse on Cain, but it's of no use to Abel anymore, he was dead already, may we not die before God's attention reach to us in Jesus name, Amen.

In the book of 1st kings 21, there was a story of Naboth who had only a property from his grandfather, and King Ahab covet the land. Naboth refused to release the land but his wife, Jezebel, set up Naboth and he was killed. What a pity. Brethren, it occurred to me that lives have been truncated and destinies jeopardized as a result of premature death. It is not just happening, even in the Bible days it did happen. Should we fold our arms and watch innocent souls passing away and unable to give the seeds after them the life they deserve? We need to cry out to God and I believe he will answer us.

Say, My Father in heaven, this day, let my cry for help, direction, revenge and deliverance be heard before my death in Jesus name, grant my request while I am still alive for the purpose of your glory in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.

Good day and God Bless you.
