TOPIC: WALKING WITH GOD : A Renewed Mind (1) 

MEMORY VERSE:
Genesis 17:1
"1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless."

BIBLE READING:
Romans 12:2
"2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. 

Thinking Point:
If there's anything God desires from us, it's to be able to walk by His side in all circumstances.

May I let you know that the Blessings can't be accessed fully without walking with God. Walking with God is what attracts the blessings of God and there are steps to walking with God. Today we will start with the first step, which I call "A Renewed Mind". Our natural mind can't walk with God because our mind can't comprehend the mightiness of God, thus we can't walk with God with the natural mind. Our natural mind depends on fact while a renewed mind depends on faith. To walk with God we have to go beyond the natural mind.

Apostle Paul was speaking to the Romans, they were believers of God's word but they still practiced the pattern of the world; seeing things the way the world sees things won't help our walk with God. 

Then, How do we Renew our Mind?
1. By having control on what we allow into our heart. What penetrates your heart? What thoughts are going on in your heart regularly? You have to screen what goes into your heart consistently.
2. By filling your heart with the word of God. Jesus said, "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." John 17:17. The intake of the word of God sanctifies our heart/mind. Devoting more time to the studying of God's word and it will sanctify your mind. 
To walk with God, you need to work on what goes on in your mind every moment and develop the habit of studying God's word.
