TOPIC: Studying John 6:1-15. Don't BeTitled Oriented (13)   

MEMORY VERSE: 
John 6:6.
"6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do."

BIBLE READING: 
John 6:15.
"15. When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone."

Thinking Point:
Title shouldn't be the motivation of your zeal for God. When you are titled oriented you tend to become 'man pleaser'.

Thank God it's Friday, our hope for this week will not be dashed as the working day ends in Jesus' Name, Amen.
Everyone we bless will always have a way of showing gratitude but we have to be sensitive to know if their appreciation is in line with God's will for our lives. Yes, some may want to reward you with funds to start your church/project, we need God's leading to be sensitive in the collection of rewards. I once heard the testimony of Minister Panam Percy Paul who was promised a huge sum of money and contract just to stop using the name "Jesus" in his songs. If such is presented to us, what will be our response? 

Jesus knew the reason for coming to the world, He knew kingship on earth isn't part of God's promises. He was so sensitive to knowing the intentions of these people isn't God's will for himself, so He found a way to escape from them. What has men promised you to leave your God's ordained place? What's the reward dragging you off your place of work, hope it's not a distraction? We need to be sensitive to recognise what God's will is for us and flee every will that doesn't look like it. Kingship on earth was beautiful but sitting at the right hand of God was more honourable. Be wise about what you receive.
