Thinking Point:
The proof of our love for God is walking in His precept daily.
This week, God will answer your hidden prayers and make them living testimonies that the world will celebrate, Amen.
I welcome you to this new series of teaching on Lessons to learn from the life of Solomon. I believe we all know about King Solomon who was a son of King David and Bathsheba. Bathsheba was the wife of Uriah, (David's warrior), whom King David took advantage of. God judged David and wouldn't allowed the child to live. But the Lord gave them another child called Solomon and the scripture said, "And The Lord Loved Him", if I may ask? Why would God Love such a child? Because the Lord knew Solomon would Love the Lord better than other children of David. God knew he will love Him more than his brothers. He was a relegated child to His brothers because his mother wasn't gotten legitimately. Brethren, our love for God separates us from other persons. When we love God he makes us unique amongst our peers. Loving God makes you withhold nothing from Him. It makes you see all you have as God's own. The mentality of "I can't give this, it's too much to release" is a sign of the lack of God's love.
Let's see what Love propelled Solomon to do.
"3. And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places."
"4. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar."
The love of God led King Solomon to give thousands of burnt offerings. This is one of the reasons God loved him because he will not withhold anything from God that He loves. May I ask you, what is the level of my love for God? How deep is your love for God? Can God entrust us with His wealth? Can we release according to God's instruction when He calls? A quality we should work towards in our life is Loving God with what we have, Let nothing be too big to love God with. The love made him gave thousands of offering in the most special place in Isreal. How far can your love go to please God? Work on your love for God and you will get the best of God.
