Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 45, Day 2, Monday, 4th November 2024 TOPIC: GOD'S COMPENSATION: Compensate Me For My Good works (2)

TOPIC: GOD'S COMPENSATION: Compensate Me For My Good works  (2)

MEMORY VERSE:
Joel 2:25.
"25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you."

BIBLE READING:
Acts 9:36-37, 40-41.
"36. Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did."
"37. And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber."
"40. But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up."
"41. And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive."

Thinking Point:
God doesn't compensate for nothing, you must have done something that you or others can hold unto to invoke compensation.

It's a good day full of God's response to every cry of our heart in Jesus' Name, answers of prayers this week, help from God this week, compensation for all our good work in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

Compensation is what you enjoy when it seems all hope is gone. That moment you are powerless and helpless, the only thing at that moment is God compensating you for good works. Compensation comes in different form, God can initiate it, you can initiate it and others can also initiate it on your behalf yes, it can be activated by any of these three means. Yesterday's study, shows how Hezekiah initiated his compensation even when God has concluded his case, which means, we need to initiate our compensation most times.

Likewise, compensation was activated on behalf of Dorcas. Can you imagine how people tripped out to mourn her death? After preparing her body for burial, some other persons initiated her compensation, Sent to Apostle Peter to pray for her and as God will have it, He came, heard all her good works, felt her death at that moment was untimely. The scripture said, he went into the room, sent everyone out, kneel down and prayed for her till she was restored to life. She was compensated for her good works, rewarded for caring for others. Let me ask you at this point, can others activate your compensation on your behalf?

In the case of Apostle Peter in, Acts 12:3-5, the scripture speaking,
"3. And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)"
"4. And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people."
"5. Peter therefore was kept in prison: BUT PRAYER WAS MADE WITHOUT CEASING OF THE CHURCH UNTO GOD FOR HIM."

Can you imagine what their prayer points will be? They came together to initiate compensation for Apostle Peter for all His work. Can others rise up for you when you are hopeless? What are you doing with your life brethren? How do you make people feel around you? There's always a day when your compensation will be determined by those you've cross path with. Check your life and do the needful before it's too late.

Good day and God Bless you.
