TOPIC: Studying John 6:1-15. Little becomes Multiple with God (6)
MEMORY VERSE:
John 6:6.
"6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do."
BIBLE READING:
John 6:10.
"10. AND JESUS SAID, MAKE THE MEN SIT DOWN. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand."
Thinking Point:
God is a God of Addition while devil is the god of subtraction. God does Good, while the devil does evil.
The God we serve will prove Himself in our lives; our services to Him will profit us in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.
One of the reasons we serve God is to enjoy increase and enlargement but we need to walk with Him to a level before we enjoy these great benefits. Let me share this with you, the word "God" is synonymous to "GOOD". When you add an "O" to GOD, it gives you "GOOD". On the other hand, the word Devil is synonymous to evil, when you subtract the letter "D" from devil it becomes "evil", that is who the devil is, subtracting from one's life to give evil but God adds to your life to make good things out of you. Jesus was a man who believes in adding to people's lives. All His intention is to make people better than the way He met them. His purpose is to make people happy and take them home to meet with God. While on earth, His good deals can't be measured because not all were written in the Bible. Some are seen even in the Quran, so all His work is not detailed but His work was to make the little become great, sorrow become joy and decamping people from the camp of the devil to the camp of God.
Jesus, from this story was about to prove Himself again by making what was called little become multiple because that was His nature. When he had there was little, that was all He needed. He gave instructions for everyone to have their seat. This is my focus today, that little in your hands can make a forest if you will give it to Jesus. You may see it as your last meal for today, you may see it as widow's mite, you may call it little jar of oil, you may even call it last Kobo, if you will give it to Jesus, it will become a meal that will serve you for years, that oil that will pay your debts and establish you for generation, if only you will surrender it to Jesus. You may want to ask, how? Use it to meet others needs, let it be a seed into other's farm. Solve a problem with it and see what God will do. Remember not all incomes are fruit, some are also seeds to sow back in order to get the fruit. Jesus collected the five loaves of bread and two fishes and more than Five thousand peoples were fed. Have you imagined the look on the faces of Philip and Andrew after the miracle? It won't be funny. Give that little seed to Jesus to meet the needs of others. He specialises in multiplying every little seed we give to Him. Take that deep breath this morning, think of what you can bless people with. Put a smile on family, individuals, co-worker, staff or even your boss. Remember your spiritual Father also, you can be a blessing to Mobile Daily Devotional ministry also, just make it a point of duty to sow your seed like the lad who gave what he had to Jesus to feed more than Five thousands of persons. He is a multiplier not a subtractor, let him multiply what you have.
