Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 50, Day 4, Wednesday, 11th December 2024 TOPIC: UNUSUAL ACTS OF GOD: His Act Has Two Sides (4)

TOPIC: UNUSUAL ACTS OF GOD: His Act Has Two Sides (4)

MEMORY VERSE:
Ephesians 3:20.
"20. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us".

BIBLE READING:
2 Kings 7:1-2, 6-7.
"1. Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria."
"2. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof."
"6. For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us."
"7. Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life."

Thinking Point:
Every Act of God solves problems for His children and causes problems for those against His children, it's two-sided.

The act of God shall work in our favour and propel us to our rightful positions in Jesus name, Amen.

Every act of God is meant to solve a particular problem and for God's name to be Glorified. When God acts, it involves those He loves and cares about and to punish those who oppose His children. In order words, God's act is in two dimensions, in favour of some and against some, may we not be at the negative side of the act of God in Jesus name, Amen.
David said in Psalms 136:10-11,
"10. To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy endureth for ever:"
"11. And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever:"
The Act of God was working in the favour of the Israelites but also worked against the Egyptian, and David said, "For His Mercy Endureth For Ever". The Act of God is two sided.

Elisha declared as the Lord sent him that food will be sold at a cheaper rate the following day which they all saw as an impossible scenario because the food wasn't available let alone getting it cheaper, but the Lord was ready to show His Act which is unknown to the Israelites. He was determined to Act on behalf of Israel and against their enemy. Let's reason together, what sound can be so loud that makes warriors run without checking where the sound was coming from? They left their camps and fled all because God acted against them. This is my prayer today, those powers, authority, principalities and thrones frustrating God's purpose over our lives, may the act of God begin to work against them from today on, In Jesus name, Amen. The Syrian warriors left their camp, fled without taking a pin of their plunder so that the Israelites could have in abundance. The act of God focusing on making God's people enjoy God's benefit while it's working against their enemy. The act of God brings satisfaction in famine, before this year runs out His Act will locate us and work for us in Jesus' mighty name, Amen. Start craving for God's act as the year runs out and it will become a reality in your life in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.
