Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 50, Day 7, Saturday, 14th December 2024 TOPIC: UNUSUAL ACTS OF GOD: Can Be Activated (7)

TOPIC: UNUSUAL ACTS OF GOD: Can Be Activated (7)

MEMORY VERSE:
Ephesians 3:20.
"20. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us".

BIBLE READING:
Jeremiah 33:3.
"3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

Thinking Point:
God does show His act on whoever He desires but we can also activate His Act in our lives through many ways.

Before the year runs out, God's Act will be activated in our lives in Jesus name, we will become a sign and a wonder to the world in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.

This week we have seen God's act in the lives of His people in various ways. We've seen how God turned situations around with His Act. We also studied some act of Jesus in the lives of those who never asked or requested for His act. Brethren, I want you to know that, we can also activate God's Act in our lives when we desire it. How? In many ways.
Our services can activate the act of God. From the story of Zachariah and Elisabeth, in Luke 1, it was consistent service to God that brought about the Birth of John the Baptist at their old age. Our services can serve as tools that activate God's act in our lives. When we refuse to be discouraged by what people say about our dedication to God's work, God will arise and act on our behalf.
We can also activate the act of God through our praises like what King Jehoshaphat did in 2 Chronicles 20. In the midst of opposition, without armoury Jehoshaphat declared the praise of God and God's act was manifested in their mist. The Lord laid an ambush against Moab, Ammon and Seir and victory became their testimony.
We can also activate God's act through giving, like King Solomon did in 1st King 3, where he made thousands of sacrifices to God on the highest altar in Israel and God visited Him in dream and granted more than He requested. Being sacrificial like the shunamite woman who built a room for Prophet Elisha, that also is a way to activate God's act, God visited her with His act by blessing her with a son.
Hannah activated hers through vow, her womb was opened and she became mother of children, 1 Sam. 1-2.
Lastly this morning, we can also activate God's act through our prayers, yes, through consistent prayers to God. Consistent prayers like Elijah who prayed until something happens. Like the widow who consistently asked the judge to avenge her case from her enemy, Luke 18:3-6. Jesus used prayer in His days to also do the impossible on the cross.
May I ask you this morning, what can you use to activate God's act in that area of your life that seems nothing is working? What are you doing to turn the face of God to your side? If God won't visit you through Mercy, how can you invite Him to your case? It's time to know what to do consistently to draw His attention to yourself. It's the end of the week, work on what to do for a new week that will attract God's act towards you.

Good Morning and God bless you.
