TOPIC: THE DECEIT OF THE DEVIL: Merciful God (14)

MEMORY VERSE: 
1 Peter 5:8.
"8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 3:21
"21. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them."

Thinking Point:
The Love of God towards us will always speak no matter how much we stray from Him. He remains merciful if we will return to Him.

This day, may the mercy of God perfect every wrong in our lives in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.

Beloved of God, God didn't hate and can't reject you because of your sins or disobedience. He already sent Christ to die for all our sins, so matter the disobedience He still lives with us, He may chastise, rebuke or correct that doesn't mean we are rejected by Him, He still loves us as we are if we will allow our heart to return to Him. You are not rejected nor forsaken because of those disobedience and bad attitude, you are still the apple of His eyes through the cleansing blood of Jesus, you just need to come back to him for He still loves you. The prodigal son in Luke 15, was welcomed home when he returned to His father with the intention to become a slave but He was welcomed as a son.

After the punishment God still showed His care for Adam and Eve, He mend their wounds, clothed them again. You are not alone because you disobeyed, you are alone because you refuse to mend your ways and return to Him. As the year runs out, this is a good time to come to Him and mend your ways, accept His rebuke and correction and let Him lead you in the right way. His mercy endures forever but may be too late if you stay longer out there. He's not as angry as you thought, He's already looking for ways to have you back, come to Him, confess your sins, repent of them, and let Him lead you again, He is merciful.
