TOPIC: QUALITIES OF KING SOLOMON: Solomon Was Tested (12)
MEMORY VERSE:
2 Samuel 12:24
And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: AND THE LORD LOVED HIM.
BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 3:16-18.
"16. Then came there two women, that were harlots, unto the king, and stood before him."
"17. And the one woman said, O my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house; and I was delivered of a child with her in the house."
"18. And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also: and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the house, save we two in the house."
Thinking Point:
God will always test how intelligent we are after depositing His valuable treasure in us.
May our lives bring honour and glory to God in all our endeavours today; we are exempted from negative occurrences in Jesus Name, Amen.
When God entrusts us with His valuable treasure, He puts us to test and see how smart, effective and ready we are with His deposits. When He endows us with His resources, either visible or Invisible treasures, He comes up with a test to know if we are mature of that deposit. Before Adam was created, God already created everything he will be in need of aside Eve but He, God, never named them. Until Adam was created, then He tested him to see if he will be able to manifest the likeness of God in him by giving names to all God's creation, and Adam passed the test, Genesis 2: 18-20.
This was the same case with King Solomon, God had to test Solomon to know if truly He is capable of His deposit in him, how well he will function with the spirit he asked for and was endowed with. If I may ask, the scripture said "two Harlots" does harlot give birth to children? Again, coincidentally, two harlot gave birth in the same room within the space of three days? No, God was about to test Solomon, not just the story of the harlot. When you receive those requests God deposited in you, did you pass the test that follows? When those resources were released, did you make use of them according to your request? Is God not regretting releasing those treasures into your hands? Are you sure you are passing the test? You asked for wealth to help the kingdom of God but you are using it against the church. You asked for resources to build your home but you are using it to destroy this same home? Are you passing the test God is placing before you? We must be tested with every deposit of God within us, either in our family, work place, worship centre or with the needy, make sure you pass the test by doing what you promise God to do with it.
