Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 49, Day 7, Saturday, 7th December 2024 TOPIC: QUALITIES OF KING SOLOMON: Men Testifies Of His Wisdom (14)
TOPIC: QUALITIES OF KING SOLOMON: Men Testifies Of His Wisdom (14)
MEMORY VERSE:
2 Samuel 12:24
And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: AND THE LORD LOVED HIM.
BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 3:28
"28. And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment."
Thinking Point:
When men are not afraid of the Gift of God in us, it simply means, we are not utilising the gift so well to make the people see God in us.
May the Lord renew every strength we've utilised these past days in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.
Welcome to the last day of our teaching on the qualities in the Life of King Solomon. My desire is that we all admire these qualities and grow towards becoming a carrier of such, and I see God enabling us in doing this in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.
Today, we are focusing on what people see in you that makes them revere God, what qualities do we possess that makes men tremble about you. When we move around, what do people see in us? What do we reflect? Did they question if we even know or serve God at all? Testimony of men, most times, reveals How God feels about us. When positive things can't be said concerning you even in your family and place of worship, that isn't strictness, we need to check ourselves to see if the qualities of God are in us.
The scripture said of King Solomon, "And all Israel heard..." Meaning they saw what seems different from the life of his father compared to him becoming the new king, what was that, "The wisdom of God". Can people testify of God's wisdom in us? How do we judge, do we judge people for what we will gain or judge rightly? Apostle James said,
"5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. - James 1:5.
Is time to ask God for wisdom to become a pointer to God.
