TOPIC: UNUSUAL ACTS OF GOD: It Brings Provision (2)
MEMORY VERSE:
Ephesians 3:20.
"20. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us".
BIBLE READING:
Numbers 11:18, 21-23 .
"18. And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: ..."
"21. And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month."
"22. Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?"
"23. And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD's hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not."
Thinking Point:
The unusual acts of God makes even His Anointed doubt God's ability.
This week, we shall pursue, overtake and recover all that belongs to us in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.
The unusual acts of God are acts that seem impossible and unrealistic to men. Every act of God always proves the reason why he is God and the ruler of all. Remember, from yesterday's teaching, we said God creates what He needs even when they are not available. Nothing stops Him to accomplish His acts in our lives except we ourselves. Acts of God make provisions available beyond what man can do. Remember how Jesus fed five thousand men with five loaves of bread and two fishes in John 6, that act that can't be forgotten easily for every believer who chooses to.
When the Israelites were in the wilderness after their departure from Egypt and crossing the red sea, they were about six hundred thousand foot men. They wanted to eat meat which made them grumble to God. This attitude made God angry and promised to feed them with meat. Moses thought He knew that ability of God but never knew he had no glimpse of God's acts. Then He questioned God, even as a servant of God, He asked,
The acts of God are those works of His hand which men can't comprehend or fathom. In the real sense, how can we possibly believe that in famine there shall be surplus? In the wilderness six hundred footmen will be fed with meat including women and children raising the number to over a million, and God promised to feed them, this can only be the act of God at work, And God responded,
"23. And the LORD said unto Moses, IS THE LORD'S HAND WAXED SHORT? THOU SHALT SEE NOW WHETHER MY WORD SHALL COME TO PASS UNTO THEE OR NOT."
Brethren, this is God's response to you this day, you've been doubting His promises, doubting His ability, if He can fulfil what He promised or declare concerning, God is saying, "IS THE LORD'S HAND WAXED SHORT?,
"26 Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,"
"27. Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?"
If God could make provision of meat for over a million persons what can't He do? The act of God can't be quantified, it's meant to believe and hold Him by His word. This week, we will see the act of God, as He proved Himself to Moses, He shall prove himself in our dealing in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. His act makes provision available.
