Mobile Daily Devotional with Oluboye Emmanuel Week 4, Day 1, Sunday, 19th January 2025 TOPIC: IN THE BEGINNING: SERIES 2: Respect All Dust (18)

TOPIC: IN THE BEGINNING: SERIES 2: Respect All Dust (18)

ONE YEAR BIBLE READING
Genesis 44 - 45
Matthew 13: 24 - 43

MEMORY VERSE:
Gen. 1:1
"1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

BIBLE READING:
Gen. 2:7
"7. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being."

Thinking Point:
As dust, how do you treat other dust? Remember, what makes you who you are is the same thing that made that person who he is. Respect all dust.

Yesterday, we discussed how we, dust, relate with the breath giver. Today, we will focus on dust with the breath of God, making himself god over similar dust.

Romans 12:3
"3. For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

How do we relate with our fellow humans ( dust)? How do we see our fellow man and woman? We rate ourselves higher than them because of one uniqueness or the other; some because of age, money, position, anointing, power or grace of achievement or other things. We all forgot that we are all dust, from the ground. We've forgotten that it's the breath of God in us that differentiates the grace working in us. I would like us to remember this portion of the bible in all our dealings which says,
"19 ... For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.”

One day, the breath will be taken from us and we shall return to dust. That other dust you are looking down on, that looks useless to you may be the only help you will ever need at some point in time.

"James 4:6, says, "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”"

Treat your fellow dust right. Your gateman today may later be the only hope for survivors tomorrow. Furnish that dust with what you have now, give some respect, credit and honour to that dust around you today, for the breath of God in him is what lives in you.

See you tomorrow.

Good Morning and God bless you.
