TOPIC: SECRETS TO SUCCEED IN LIFE: Why Are You Called? (2)

ONE YEAR BIBLE READING
Exodus 13 - 14
Matthew 19: 1 - 15

MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 8:30.
"30. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified."

BIBLE READING:
Exodus 3:7-9.
"7. And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;"
"8. And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites."
"9. Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them."

Thinking Point:
For you to be called, there must be a problem that is at hand to be solved.

Yesterday, we made it known that for you to be called, you must know who is calling you, who is sending you on errand. Today, the second question as a proof of your calling is, why are you called? There must be a problem that warrants your call, what is that problem? When God calls a man, there must be a reason, what is that reason that proves your call? if you don't get this right, there is a tendency to drift away from what you are called to do.

When God called Moses He told him the problem on ground. He explained what was going on in Egypt and why Moses was needed. God is explanatory when He calls. He gives us the situation of things on ground. He explains His passion and lets you be aware of why you are in need. What did God tell you before He gave you that assignment? What was that burden on God's heart that proves you are needed? He told Moses,
"7. And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;"
"8. And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, ..."

What bothers God to have sent for you? If you don't get this right you might not be sure of what you're called to do. What was that reason that made you cry and took up that call? This is what you should be aware of when it comes to having a call. Can you identify yours? What did God said before telling you what to do? Get clarification on this and be sure of what your focus is.
