TOPIC: IN THE BEGINNING: Exercise Your Dominion (15)
ONE YEAR BIBLE READING
Genesis 38 - 39
Matthew 12:1 - 21
MEMORY VERSE:
Gen. 1:1
"1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
BIBLE READING:
Gen. 1:28
"28. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Thinking Point:
Many things happened around us because we gave our consent by not exercising our dominion. We are in charge, not in chains.
To dominate is to be authorized to be in-charge, to command, to rule over. It also means to govern over an affair. God gave us authority over everything He created and subdued them under us. He has set us higher above strengths and powers. No matter how difficult the opposition may be, they are under our Authority. Dominion also means, having the ability to do as God did; speaking words to pass, commanding what we desire. He gave us authority to create as He did.
Luke 10:19, Jesus said,
"19. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
Jesus established our authority over all powers, be it human, animal, principalities in high places, and nothing shall by any means hurt us. We have dominion. Fear isn't in our DNA. Anyone with authority only gives command, they order things around. With their words they build and tear things apart. Are you exercising your dominion over those situations? In our homes, over principalities and powers, at our workplace, are we exercising our authority? What we permit is what happens.
Declare this;
I exercise my dominion and authority over you sickness, pain, lack, delay, poverty, disappointment, rejection, failure, principalities and every negative imaginations against me, today, bow at my order in Jesus Mighty Name. From today on, let no man, (power and authority) trouble me again, for I bear in my body the mark of Christ, Gal. 6:17, in Jesus name, Amen.
