TOPIC: TYPES OF GARMENT: Garment That Covers Shame (4) 

ONE YEAR BIBLE READING: 
Number 1 -2, Mark 7:24 - 8: 1 -13.

MEMORY VERSE: 
Isaiah 61:3. 
"To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified."

BIBLE READING: 
Genesis 9:22-23.
"22. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without."
"23. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness."

Thinking Point:
There are garments that put an end to shame, until one is covered with it, shame may persist in such life.

Many things attract shame, reproach and mockery. It may be attitude, behaviour or mistake, past lifestyle and wickedness of man, whatever may be the reason one only needs a garment that covers shame. Shame could be as a form of delay in child bearing, joblessness, singlehood or one sickness or the other. It may be as a result of past error, but God has a garment that covers shame, a garment that puts away shame from one's life regardless of the reason behind it. It's my prayer today that God will cover that shame in our lives in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.

Noah was a man whom God remembered because of his walk with God. He was faithful and God singled him out of the destruction of the world. After the flood he soon misbehaved and got himself drunk to stupor. He brought shame to himself by becoming naked. He was ridiculed by his last son, but God raised his other two sons to cover this shame with a garment. We are familiar with this story. But his sons put an end to his shame despite their father's bad attitude. When God is ready to end your shame, he'll raise men to cover you with the garment of favour, garment of help, garment of opportunity. God can raise anyone to end that shame. It's our turn to experience this in Jesus' name; the garment that ends shame, reproach, lack, delay, joblessness, ridicule, is coming on us today in Jesus' mighty name, Amen. 

Father, cloth me with the garment that will end the shame in my life and family, in my health, my work and my generation in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
