TOPIC: SECRETS TO SUCCEED IN LIFE: Moses Apply Wisdom (12)
ONE YEAR BIBLE READING
Exodus 31
Matthew 25: 31 - 46
MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 8:30.
"30. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified."
Bible Reading:
Exodus 4:18.
"18. And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace."
Thinking Point:
Not everyone deserves to know about your calling on the set. Screen who you share your assignment with.
We bless God for the eye opener from His word pertaining to God's calling. When Moses accepted to take on the assignment he applied wisdom on who to discuss the visitation he had with God. One of those things that kills calling is speaking to the wrong people about God's revelations. Not everyone we have as friends deserve to know what God revealed to us about our lives. The mistake of Joseph was inability to keep to himself the purpose of God for his life. He opened it up till envy sent him away from home, Genesis 37. 1 Kings 13, speaking about the young prophet and senior prophet, inability to differentiate what is your message and personal instruction brought about the death of the young prophet. Not everything God says you reveal to people, even your spiritual father, if God wants them to know He will reveal it to them.
Moses was now wiser that he hid from Jethro God's visitation. He came home like a neutral person, as if nothing happened during his day. Then he went to Jethro and presented his assignment in a different way, "Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive."
Was that what God sent him? No, but he needed to apply wisdom in order to be focused. Many assignments have been truncated by the people we spoke with. Jethro might remind him, "you are wanted, do you remember?" "Do you know how powerful Pharaoh is that you want to question his authority?" Many discouraging words may step in, but Moses shut every door to discouragement. I think your next step needs to be limited to some certain persons In your life. Have a rethink, who killed those assignments given to you by God through their contribution or advice to your life? What discouraged you from pursuing that dream placed In your heart by God? Screen those who are in your space so you can have the right persons around you to carry out your assignment.
