TOPIC: BENEFITTING FROM GOD'S WORD: By Preaching The Word (6)

Deuteronomy 18 - 21, Luke 4: 1 - 13.

MEMORY VERSE: 
Jere. 23:29
"Is not My word like a fire?” says the LORD, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?"

BIBLE READING:
Math. 28:19-20
"19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen."

Thinking Point:
Preaching the Word of God brings benefits to us and God Himself because it expands the kingdom of God.

The Word of God is for our benefits and also for the benefit of those who are yet to accept Christ as their Lord and saviour. It's been made known to us how we can benefit from God's Word. All the benefits discussed are to be replicated in the lives of others which is a commandment from God, "To Make Disciples Of All Nations". Making disciples is part of the benefit of God's word. What you don't have you can't give, what you don't know you can't teach. The word you Read, Studied, Meditate on, Heard and Believed is what you need, to make Disciples for God. It will benefit you, those disciples you are making and God Himself because of new souls.

2 Tim. 2:15, says,
"15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

We should be able to divide the word of truth, making truth known to those who are yet to know Christ. We are to teach them all we have received as a benefit from the word of God. This is the Great commission, to "Go and make disciples of all Nation". Having all the benefits of God's word without reaching out to others is disobeying God's commandment. The greatest of the benefits is to win a soul for God with the truth we have discovered. Are we fulfilling this benefit and this commandment? Be truthful to yourself. Do you speak to people about Jesus at all? When we speak about Him to others, we God benefits when they accept the message. Speak the word to those who need it and let the benefit spread across to you, the Unbelievers and God Himself. May we be able to speak in Jesus' name, Amen.
