Thinking Point:
When the situation seems to be adamant, let vow crack and break its stronghold.
It's been three (3) weeks studying the word "VOW" through the life of Hannah. Vow is a principle to accessing God and withholding what He has predestined to us from the beginning. It's a key that involves more commitment than just praying. Vow is a powerful and also a dangerous tool to us because it can become a delicate tool to the one who vows without paying and can also be a tool for change of story to the one who makes the vow and fulfills it. We have all seen the do's and don't of vow, that it's better to make a vow that we can remit without attaching someone else to it. Our vow need not be bigger than what we can afford, it's not the size of what we give but our commitment to what we are giving. Another principle is to document your vow in order to remember the exact promises you made to God.
Today, I want to encourage every reader of this devotional to apply vow to that issue around our lives, be it situations in our workplace, concerning our children, spouse, parent, childlessness, joblessness or ministry. That situation that has given you a title not meant for you, handle it with a vow. If need be you can go through the lessons for the past three weeks to know who to make vow work. With vow walls can be broken, mountains can be moved and gates of brass can become watered. The difference between vow and prayer is the fact that you are committed to make your vow work. Put a vow through to God concerning that situation and you will receive the testimony you've been waiting on God for. Feel free to share your goodness with us as the Lord grants answers to your request.
Good morning, and God bless you.
