Mobile Daily Devotional with Oluboye Emmanuel Week 16, Day 4, Wednesday, 16th April 2025 TOPIC: CAUSES OF DELAY: Lack Of Information (4)

TOPIC: CAUSES OF DELAY: Lack Of Information (4)

One Year Bible Reading:
Ruth 1 - 4, Luke 15: 11 - 32.

MEMORY VERSE:
Deuteronomy 1:6.
"6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:"

BIBLE READING:
Proverbs 11:14.
"14. Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety."

Thinking Point:
Information is power they say, lack of it leads to delay in achievement.

Knowing what to do is different from knowing how to do it. Having wisdom is different from knowing how to apply wisdom. Both need information. When you get direction you've known what to do but to do it also needs information. This is where getting counsel comes in, how do I go about it? What can I do to make it different? What makes others fail doing the same thing? These and more are what counsel does.

When I was in my junior secondary school, there was this subject called Technical Drawing. I don't have an idea of this subject and I have all the materials, TD board, T square and the drawing sets. I kept getting lower marks in this subject and my teacher doesn't help matters. One day, as I was coming home from school, our landlord's son saw me with the board, he called, "Segun, do you know TD very well? I said sir, I am not good at it. "he said go and undress and let's start studying". After two hours teaching, I jumped from 2/10 to 8/10 in my class. See, I had everything to make a good grade but lacked the right information to make it. That is what the lack of information caused, it put you in a delayed stage. You know and have all it takes to make progress but you can't utilize it because you lack the right information. In a multitude of counsel there is safety, you get information and move forward with the information. Delay is a product of lack of right information. Get informed and your position will change.
