Mobile Daily Devotional with Oluboye Emmanuel Week 17, Day 1, Sunday, 20th April 2025. TOPIC: TYPES OF MENTALITY: Faith Driving Mentality (1)
TOPIC: TYPES OF MENTALITY: Faith Driving Mentality (1)
One Year Bible Reading:
1 Samuel 11 - 13, Luke 18: 15 - 43
MEMORY VERSE:
Philippians 4:8.
"8. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
BIBLE READING:
Numbers 13:30.
"30. And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it."
Thinking Point:
Faith driving mentality is what God desires from us as sons and daughters of God.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to this new week, which is the week of death, victory and resurrection of our Lord Jesus, may His death for us not be in vain in Jesus's Mighty Name, Amen.
What mentality drives you? What thought goes on in your mind concerning that situation before you? How do you handle circumstances facing you and what do you say about it? If there is any mentality that Christ desires for us, it is the Faith driving mentality, mentality that sees winning in all circumstances. Mentality speaks in faith and not fear, that moves regardless of obstructions, this is what God wants from us.
Caleb was one of the ten (10) spies who went to spy the land of Canaan. He saw what others saw, experienced what others experienced, they brought back the fruit of the land and no one touched them through their journey to the land of Canaan. But Caleb's report was totally different from other people's reports. He saw victory over Canaan. He was imagining through the eye of faith how Canaan would be defeated while walking the city. He was driving by faith and eating the fruit of the city with faith while others were seeing defeat. He was driving by Faith while spying the land so it was very easy for him to speak with faith when he came home. He said,
"And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it."
This was a reflection of his mentality while walking the land of Canaan. What is your mentality as you go through those situations? Do you see positivity or defeat? It's time to faith your mentality to equal the ability of God. How did it end for Caleb? He possessed the land of Canaan, he enjoyed it. Listen, your mentality determines your end. Ask yourself, what mentality has driven me? Is it the right mentality?
I decree today, your faith will work for you in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.
Good morning, and God bless you.
